The Swiss Journal of Economics and Statistics (SJES) is published by the Swiss Society of Economics and Statistics (SSES) which is the Society of Swiss Economists.
With a publishing history of 150 years, the SJES ranks among the oldest established journals of economics world-wide. As an internationally well recognized journal it offers a platform open to papers encompassing the entire spectrum of modern economics. The contributions are concerned with topical questions relating to both theory and empirical research and are subject to a standard peer-review process.
The SJES is published quarterly and contained contributions in English, German, and French until the end of 2006. Following a decision of the SSES at the meeting on 9 March 2006, all contributions are published in English only since the first issue 2007.
The SJES is included in the international database for economic publications RePEc. Hence, published contributions are accessible through the RePEc service-sites EconPapers and Ideas, making them quickly available to an international audience.
